This 18 acre site is unique in that its proximity to the Madison Harbor allows for easy connection to the elevator conveyor system, allowing for the transfer of dry bulk goods to the harbor. In addition to the potential for locating grain silos or other dry commodities at this site, 4 liquid bulk brackets were included in the original build of this harbor facility in anticipation of a prospect needing access to liquid bulk river transportation. Constructed in 2016, the Madison Harbor, located just south of Lock #27, is the Northernmost ice-free and lock-free port on the Mississippi River. Although there is no direct access on this site, rail transfer is available at other locations at America's Central Port, with access to 6 of the Class-I railroads through Terminal Railroad Association. With excellent highway access, this location provides faster and more efficient shipping and river transportation to and from numerous ports south of St. Louis on through to the Gulf of Mexico.
