Rising 50 stories in the heart of the city's financial district, 910 Louisiana has become a downtown Houston landmark - as classic in design today as it was when it was completed over a decade ago for Shell Oil Company. Designed by the Chicago office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, this 1.2 million-square-foot tower tapers gradually upward from a landscaped marble plaza at the intersection of Louisiana and McKinney Streets. A series of closely spaced columns frame the structure, emphasizing building height while creating the definite impression of a gently undulating exterior wall. Imposing archways on the tower's east and west sides mark the entrances to 910 Louisiana. And the plaza's travertine continues inside, paving the regal lobby from floor to ceiling. 
From the lobby, three elevator banks provide efficient service to the offices above. Two freight elevators serve all floors, and two shuttle cabs operate between penthouse levels. Elevators and escalators also link 910 Louisiana directly with the downtown tunnel system, with its restaurants, office supply stores, newsstands and other amenities.
On the 49th floor, the exclusive Houston Club offers a full complement of fine dining, entertainment and meeting facilities. On-site parking is available for 381 cars, with additional parking available in the tunnel connected Tranquility Garage.
                                    
Energy Efficiency:
Windows of tinted dual-pane glass have insulating properties, which minimizes heat loss and gain. A sophisticated air conditioning system - with 20 individually controlled thermostats and two air handling units per floor - affords maximum tenant comfort and control.
 
Overtime AC Rate: $25.00/Air Handler/hour (2 per floor).  
 
This building was awarded an Energy Star label in 2006-2018 for its operating efficiency.
 
In 2009, this building was awarded LEED certification at the Gold level by the U.S. Green Building Council and continues to maintain Gold status.
In 2017, the Building won The Office Building of the Year all the way to International competition for its renovations.
