In 1978, The Hollywood Athletic Club was repurchased and restored as an entertainment mecca, becoming a nightclub, a restaurant, and a billiards club. In this century, The Hollywood Athletic Club has been blessed with distinguished hosts, including President Obama and President Clinton, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and Britney Spears. It was the chosen site for noteworthy special events such as LA Fashion Week, Grammy Celebrations, Oscar Academy Awards Galas, and luxury brands for Hermes, Tiffany and Nieman Marcus, among others.
