The Ford Industrial Park is the largest industrial park in Lake County and is located less than a mile from the site at the SW corner of US Highway 27 and State Road 19. Spanning an impressive 1,000 acres, this industrial powerhouse boasts five million square feet of prime industrial space. Home to Amazon, Quietflex, Samsung Electronics, The Kroger Company, and Niagara Bottling, the park is a hub of innovation and productivity. The Kroger fulfillment center employs approximately 900 people and recently benefited from a $5 million investment. The Amazon distribution facility, which opened its doors in 2021, employs around 500 individuals, further cementing the park's status as a key economic driver. Across SR 19, Duke Energy occupies 1 million square feet of industrial space with 150 employees.
Orlando Health’s 180-acre South Lake campus is located nine miles south and features a 170-bed hospital and over 1,700 employees, delivering exceptional healthcare services. In addition, Orlando Health opened an emergency room with 12 treatment rooms that is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, located four miles northwest of the site. AdventHealth is investing $50 million in Lake County, with two major projects: a 50,000-square-foot medical office at the Tavares campus and a 14,000-square-foot freestanding ER in Fruitland Park, both set for completion in 2026. These developments highlight a strong commitment to enhancing the region's healthcare landscape.
