Walgreens to open store across rival Longs Drugs in Downtown Honolulu this fall

Back in mid-March, I reported the names of several major contractors that may be in the running to build the $925 million MGM National Harbor. The list of prequalified firms is now public, and that earlier rundown turns out to be a pretty solid accounting of which companies have been selected to compete for general contractor duties for the casino complex.

Does Loudoun really prefer 50 more years of blasting rock over mixed-use development near Metro? Apparently so
A bid to redevelop the 225-acre Chantilly Crushed Stone quarry, located less than a mile from a planned Metro station, into a mixed-use community anchored by a 54-acre lake, thousands of residences and 4 million square feet of nonresidential uses has run into a massive obstacle: Loudoun's land use policies simply do not appear to allow such a project.
