  • Plan your move at least several weeks in advance, generally 3-6 weeks should provide sufficient time for you to plan /pack. This way the chances of your chosen moving company being available to work on your specified dates will be much higher.
  • Ask the moving company to provide you with a written estimate. Have all of the services that are listed within this estimate explained in detail. After you have carefully read over the estimate, keep what you think is necessary and have them discard any services that you don't believe you'll need.
  • When ready with a final contract, make sure you understand all rates and charges that are included. Ask any remaining questions you may have regarding how pickup and delivery will work. Be sure to have written documents from the moving company explaining what liability they have for your possessions, as well as any claim protection that will be given.
