Generally 2-3
days is enough
time for an
appraiser to
complete a full
report of a
residential
property, however
a commercial
property will
take much longer,
depending on
its size and
structure. This
holds true for
the actual inspection
as well, where
it may take
only a few hours
for a residential
property, but
days or even
weeks for a
large commercial
property. The
appraiser will
also inspect
similar properties
that have sold
within the past
couple of years.
Lastly the written
report will
take a matter
of hours if
its an industry
standard form
(residential),
but if its a
narrative report
(commercial)
this can again
take days, weeks,
or even months.
