Most states
have their own
local association
dedicated specifically
to
CPAs. Benefits
of membership
within these
organizations
include significant
discounts on
accounting seminars,
which qualify
as
continuing professional
education
hours. Each
state
CPA organization
also requires
its own
professional
code of conduct,
something many
companies /
state agencies
look for. Residency
is typically
not required
for membership
in these state
associations.
