Cornish & Carey Welcomes Veteran Investment Broker Russ Sherman

(San Francisco, CA, Thursday, November 5, 2009) Cornish & Carey Commercial/ONCOR International (C&C), the dominant real estate force in Northern California, today announced that industry veteran Russ Sherman has joined the C&C team as a senior vice president. He will be a part of the investment brokerage team and be based in the firm’s San Francisco office. Russ brings to C&C nearly 35 years of commercial real estate experience.

Most recently, Russ Sherman was senior director of Cushman & Wakefield’s (C&W) Capital Markets Group in San Francisco. Since 1994, Russ marketed and sold more than 20 million square feet (sf) of office, industrial, retail and hospitality properties, representing $3 billion in value. Russ was honored three different years as one of C&W’s Top-100 Brokers nationally, and received both the Chairman’s Circle Award and the Brokerage Service Excellence Award. Russ began his investment sales career with Coldwell Banker in 1971. He earned his bachelor’s degree from University of Southern California.
Russ Sherman has brokered some of the largest investment sale transactions in the Bay Area including:
• Sale of 701,000 sf 303 Second Street in San Francisco on 3 separate occasions, most recently purchased for $237 million.
• Sale of 1.2 million sf Bernal Corporate Park in Pleasanton for $231 million.
