OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. – Crème de la Crème, an early childhood development facility with 20 locations throughout the country, is opening two new facilities in the greater Chicago area including the day care provider’s first urban campus, a 21,000-square-foot facility in Lincoln Park that will open in 2009, according to Andy Bulson of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois-based Mid-America Real Estate. Another facility of the same size is under construction at The Arboretum of South Barrington, with an opening planned for summer, 2009. Unlike a standard day care facility, Crème’s interiors contain amenities such as computer labs, art, music and dance studios, math labs, and even mock television studios. Exterior areas include child-size tennis and basketball courts, mini water parks and numerous play areas. “We’re excited about the Lincoln Park and South Barrington sites,” says Bruce Karpas, Crème chairman and CEO. “As our first urban location, Lincoln Park will offer a special convenience to a many parents who live there and who work downtown,” he says. “And we’re excited about going in at The Arboretum because it’s a high quality, conveniently located property that has good, high-profile awareness within the community.” The purveyor of posh tot daycare has four other area locations already open in Warrenville, Westmont, Glenview, and Romeoville.
