Plaza Vista sale should be bullish on KC office market
The sale price of the 10-story Plaza Vista office tower and 940-unit parking garage has not been released. But local real estate sources said the capitalization rate associated with the deal is about 7.5 percent, and that's good news for the Kansas City office market.

Disney magic: Laugh-O-Gram repurposing moves ahead
The restoration and repurposing of the Laugh-O-Gram Studio building is rolling along, and construction of a new, dual-purpose facility could be underway by the end of 2015.

The building, just off Troost Avenue at 1127 E. 31st St., was home to Walt Disney from 1921 to 1923 and is widely considered to be the birthplace of Mickey Mouse. A Kansas City nonprofit, Thank You Walt Disney Inc., stabilized the building in 2001 and 2002 and put plans in motion to Kansas City Business Journal - by Austin Alonzo of Bizjournals

American Royal may lower city's share of cost for razing, replacing Kemper
The American Royal Association has been asking the city to contribute half the cost of its $60 million plan to raze Kemper Arena, replace it with a smaller arena and improve other American Royal Complex facilities in the West Bottoms.

PIEA debates abatement level for $78M Plaza office tower
